Hosted Trip July 19 - 28
Fly Fish Montana 2026
Escape to the legendary waters of southwest Montana with our unforgettable hosted fly fishing adventure, based in Bozeman — just a stone’s throw from Yellowstone National Park. This is a trip for those who dream of casting dry flies to wild trout in one of the most iconic fly fishing regions on the planet.
You’ll be chasing brown trout, rainbow trout, mountain whitefish, cutbows, and the prized Yellowstone cutthroat trout in rivers and creeks made famous by generations of anglers— and immortalised in the classic film A River Runs Through It.

Perfectly positioned between Big Sky and Yellowstone, you’ll have access to legendary rivers like the Madison, Gallatin, and Yellowstone, as well as a network of trout-filled creeks and hidden mountain streams that reward those willing to explore. We’ve partnered with Bozeman’s most respected guiding operation, Gallatin River Guides, to ensure you get the absolute best out of each day on the water. Our head guide, Jackson Chaput, has designed an itinerary that blends the adrenaline of drift boat fishing with the magic of walk-and-wade days on stunning water. The trip is flexible and tailored to your preferences—whether you want more time drifting broad freestone rivers or stalking trout on foot.
You’ll spend part of the trip at the historic 320 Guest Ranch, founded in 1898 and nestled along the banks of the Gallatin River. Your log cabin accommodation offers a comfortable twin-share experience with the river just steps away—perfect for a post-dinner cast as the sun drops behind the mountains. While in Bozeman, we’ll stay at the centrally located Lewis & Clark Motel, putting you within easy walking distance of the city’s vibrant nightlife, buzzing breweries, and fantastic food scene. This mix of rustic charm and lively small-town culture makes for an ideal balance between adventure and relaxation.
Dining is a highlight in itself. At the ranch, you’ll enjoy breakfast and dinner at McGill’s Restaurant & Saloon—famous for its hearty Montana fare and warm, rustic atmosphere—while lunch is packed streamside by your guide. During our time in Bozeman, we’ll explore the town’s dynamic culinary scene with dinners at top local cafes and restaurants. From mountain rivers to downtown bars, this trip delivers the ultimate Montana fly fishing experience.
